Data deletion

Last updated September 2026

Current service status: whole-account deletion is paused. There is currently no supported whole-account deletion path. Sign in and open Support to submit a request for review. Sending a request does not itself delete data or guarantee completion.

You can delete your Snipify data yourself, at any time, and you can ask us to do it for you. This page explains both routes. It is a working draft prepared for legal review, and anything marked [CONFIRM] still needs checking by Snipify.

Delete it yourself, in the app

  • Sign in, open Account settings, and choose Check deletion availability. While deletion is paused, this check explains the blocker and does not delete anything.
  • A completed account deletion removes your uploaded videos and their stored files, every clip cut from them, every scheduled post and its attempt history, and every connected account with its stored tokens. The availability check itself does not delete any of these data.
  • To remove a single connection instead, open Connections and remove that account.

Ask us to delete it

Write to [CONFIRM: data deletion contact email address] from the email address on your Snipify account, with the subject "Delete my data". We will confirm the request, delete your data, and write back when it is done, within 30 days. [CONFIRM: response window commitment.]

Deletion requested through a connected platform

If you remove Snipify's access from inside a platform, for example from your Facebook or Instagram app settings, that revokes our permission to publish for you. To have the data we already hold deleted as well, use either route above. A revoked connection alone does not delete your uploaded videos or your clips, because those are yours and are not held by the platform.

What deletion covers

  • Uploaded video files in private storage.
  • Clips, including their start and end points and any rendered clip files.
  • Captions, scheduled posts, and the attempt history behind them.
  • Connected accounts, including their encrypted access tokens.
  • Your profile and your sign-in record.

Backups may retain copies for a short period after deletion before they cycle out. [CONFIRM: backup retention window.] We may keep the minimum records the law requires us to keep, such as billing records. [CONFIRM: statutory retention, once billing is live.]
